😎 Cham Informal

Somehow, Scribbles has a hold on me. I can’t seem to shake it off — not that I want to, mind you, I wouldn’t have paid for a Lifetime plan otherwise. I’m thrilled platforms like Scribbles exist.

I cannot remember the exact moment I discovered Scribbles, but after checking out a few blogs launched on the platform, I loved the simplicity and knew I wanted to do something ‘informal’ with it; a place where I don’t need to spend any extended amount of time fleshing out ideas and thoughts for a blog post — I’ll leave that for my main blog on Chamline.

I have spent a considerable amount of time ruminating over ideas on how to use Scribbles informally that don’t end up taking too much attention away from my main blog. I still haven’t managed to come up with anything robust and unique, so I won’t force the issue. Perhaps an idea will present itself in one of my long thought-infested showers💡.

To start off, I’ll be using this blog to casually log quick snippets of things I want to share and archive here to keep things short, sweet and casual (unless it’s a meta announcement relevant to this blog needing more words, like this post!!).

Maybe I ought to adopt the POSSE approach and use it as my social media post origin and syndicate it everywhere — meaning, instead of posting directly on Mastodon, for example, use Scribbles’ title-less post format to compose, publish and syndicate to other platforms with a link back to this blog.

Meanwhile, I have gone ahead and registered habibcham.net as the main domain with a few other TLDs. Now that the domain registration is all set up on Scribbles, I can officially point you to the RSS Feed, if you wish to add it to your feed collection, of course.

In naming the blog, it was a toss between ‘Habib Informal’ and ‘Cham Informal’ (🥉 Brownie points for originality huh!). Although the default URL is scribbles.page/habib, I’m starting out with the latter, for now. Not sure either rolls off the tongue easily. Let me know which one you think works best?

P.S: Cham — pronounced Charm without the ‘r’… But don't drag it!

Ooh “Charm without the ‘r’” could be a cool moniker/slogan for the blog!
